SLERS began as a personal culinary endeavor in 1969, when Fely Pelaez learned to prepare delicious smoked country ham in her home at Del Monte, Bukidnon. That year, family members and friends bought her ham for Noche Buena (Christmas dinner).

History

In 1969, enterprising housewife Fely Pelaez began making a delicious Smoked Country Ham at her home in Del Monte Bukidnon. That year, family and friends placed orders so that they could have her ham for Noche Buena. And so what began as a culinary endeavor became a Cottage industry. SLERS, an acronym of her children’s names became her brand name. The venture started with two workers; today, it is an organization that employs about 100 men and women. By maintaining the quality and excellence of its ham and other meat products, the production and reputation of SLERS grew, and today, it is a household name and a favorite pasalubong of visitors to Cagayan de Oro. SLERS is a dynamic organization looking to expand present products and markets. In January of 2006, it started chicharon production. By August of the same year, it opened SLERS Express Meals – a Quick Service Restaurant that simultaneously acts as a one stop shop for SLERS products. Recently, SLERS started selling chicharon from kiosks around Cagayan de Oro. Seizing an opportunity when it sees good one, the idea of Franchising became a new focus.

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR/PRODUCTION LINEMAN

Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Studies production schedules and estimates staffing, duty assignments and inventory requirements.
• Develops a process plan including people, resources and equipment.
• Applies work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Coordinates manpower requirements by increasing or decreasing personnel and overtime.
• Improves production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Oversees all aspects of quality assurance
• Maintains time and production records.
• Performs activities of workers supervised.
• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Prepares and submits daily production report
• Other related functions that maybe assigned from time to time

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree , Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Engineering (Others) or equivalent.
Required language(s): English, Filipino
At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Applicants must be willing to work in Alae, Bukidnon Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Engineering/Manufacturing/Production – Others or equivalent.
