Nipissing University Offers a Bachelor of Education Program

Having come from a family of educators and with family members now living in Canada, it came as exciting news that Nipissing University has a Bachelor of Education program that might just be ideal for many of my cousins who wish to follow the path forged by our elders. What makes the university program special for us is the fact that candidates who are Aboriginal or who belong to minority groups are encouraged to apply.

What I like even more about their program is that it does not base applicant acceptance on cultural or racial origin at all. Despite its invitation to minority groups, its demand for excellence is uncompromising. Candidates are selected based on academic achievement, with experiential qualifications only being considered for those who are close to the required average. Applicants are also required to hold recognized undergraduate degrees with a minimum of ten full courses to qualify.

For applicants who do not speak English as a foreign language TOEFL, IELTS and PEARSON scores are considered additional factors for screening, further stressing the requirement for applicant quality.

There is no better opportunity for members of various minority groups who wish to make their mark as educators than to apply for this program. I’m glad I know where to point my cousins in Canada to.
