HTML / CSS (experienced – familiar with trouble shooting, positioning etc – confident in
building a basic website in HTML/CSS. They will need to be able to build a website
very accurately – Designers often want their designs fulfilled to near pixel accuracy.))
WordPress (used to using any CMS, knowledge of WordPress theme structure and
building an advantage)
PHP and Javascript (just basic knowledge – variables, arrays, if / else statements.
Familiarity with jQuery an advantage)
Bootstrap knowledge an advantage
(Graphic design, use of PhotoShop etc is not required)
= Key tasks =
* Updating and checking websites (in both CMS and code level)
* Building static HTML / CSS websites from supplied design and assets
* Coding email signatures and email newsletters
* Becoming familiar with my WordPress themes, and starting to build WP themes using
a similar structure (copying code assets as available)
* Learning Bootstrap (if not already familiar) and making existing sites responsive
= Things you will learn =
* Increasing knowledge of WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery
* Database management in WordPress (for larger sites – client login areas etc)
* Becoming an SEO expert
* Possible social media management
* Possible app development
* Basic server functions for clients (setting up email addresses etc)
